A piece of New Orleans from Bohemia!
Our Dixie band The Dixie Hot Licks – six men with a charming front woman and singer – comes from the city of good Czech beer, Pilsen. We are seven professionals and semi-professionals who all fell in love with the New Orleans repertoire of the 1910’s-1930’s. Our authentic interpretation of this style of music is based on the swing of the banjo, sousaphone and old-fashioned drum set.
Our live production, with frequent promenades through the audience in the style of traditional marching bands, delights all spectators and gets their legs dancing.
Whether it is a garden party, wedding, birthday party or a boat trip – The Dixie Hot Licks always lift the mood, ensure a relaxed atmosphere and enchant every event with the sound of New Orleans.
We don’t know any language barriers. The band members speak five languages and if that’s not enough, our music always serves as a universal language.
