During the ¿UNDERGROUND/INDEPENDENT? Independent Culture Festival the Forum Cinema and the Fama club are taken over by original and rebellious artists, intriguing movies and energetic music bands. Thanks to the festival, a wave is spreading across the region, waking people up from the commercial dream imposed on them by the mass media.

The artists presented during the event, regardless of fashion, popularity and fame gained in these or other projects, follow the path they have chosen, proving with their actions that it is worth pursuing dreams! During the festival, we invite you to explore unique spaces of life and art, becoming a place where modern electronics, comics, jazz, street art, documentaries, hip hop and extreme sports coexist.

Contemporary Art Says is an art festival with heatrical performances at its core. It is interdisciplinary in nature, combining various forms of expression of contemporary art. The programme is rich not only in presentations of the most important theatrical events, but also in music, visual arts, independent cinema, dance and performance.

Another Dimension has existed since 2007, six years later it emerged in a new version, as part of a project linking three cities in eastern Poland (Białystok, Lublin and Rzeszów) with the countries of the Eastern Partnership in cultural cooperation.

From the beginning, it presents the richness of the multiculturalism of Podlasie, in particular Białystok. It promotes the idea of dialogue and tolerance in a culturally diverse city where Poles, Russians, Belarusians, Tatars, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Jews and Germans have coexisted for centuries. It restores the memory of the lost, at the same time showing contemporary achievements, combines history with contemporary artistic activity.

During the festival, artists from various nationalities and cultures always present their works, including those that in the past co-created the history and culture of the region.

FILM PODLASIE ATTACKS! is one of the most recognizable campaigns promoting independent cinema, and at the same time a platform for original, artistic, non-professional and experimental films. Among the creators there are poets, journalists, students of art and film schools, artists and independent filmmakers who shoot feature films, documentaries, music videos and animations. Some are just making their debut, others have been awarded at national festivals for years.

The oldest blues festival in Poland.

Autumn with the Blues is the oldest blues festival in Poland. The multi-day musical event always takes place in November, invariably gathering crowds of blues fans not only from Białystok, but also from the entire country. During it you can hear acoustic blues, electric blues, blues-rock, gospel, boogie, jump or swinging rhythm’n’blues. Autumn with the Blues is not only music, however. Photographic exhibitions, musical performances, film screenings and meetings are also organised.
