He graduated with honors from the National Higher School of Music in Cracow in the class of prof. B. Rutkowski and prof. J. Jargoń (1968) and from the Hochschule fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna in the class of prof. A. Heiller (1972). He won the National Organ Competition in Warsaw (1967) and Nuremberg (1972). He has performed in almost all European countries, as well as in the USA, Canada, Japan and Kazakhstan.
He is the artistic director of the international festivals of organ and chamber music in Kamień Pomorski and Leżajsk, as well as the international festival of young organists Juniores Priores in Sejny. He was a juror of many international organ competitions (including Prague, Nuremberg, Paris-Chartres, Mainz, Gdańsk). Professor emeritus of organ classes at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (since 2018 honorary professor of this university) and the Academy of Music in Cracow. In 2016, he received the “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice” medal from Pope Francis.
