Bialystok Cultural Centre and Artur Grottger’s High School of Fine Arts in Supraśl invite to the opening of the outdoor exhibition of Wiktor Wołkow’s photographs entitled „Magical Podlasie” on March 27th at 1 PM.
The pictures that will be presented on the fence of the Artur Grottger’s High School of Fine Arts in the Konarski Street are a part of the exhibition prepared for the Białystok City Days 2010. The exhibition will be open until August 25th, 2017.
Wiktor Wołkow (1942-2012) was one of the Polish most prominent photography artists specializing in landscape photography. Podlasie region was his beloved one. He lived there and created his works. Nowhere was he as happy as in his favourite Supraśl and Biebrza Marshes, which he roamed along and across.
Many times rewarded at home and abroad he created over 100 photography exhibitions, as well as many photo albums of which the best known are Wołkow, 1963, The Green Realm, Podlasie, Supraśl, Forest, Supraśl, Biebrza, The Cross, Narew, Stork, My Hunt, and Hay.
The pictures of nature by Wiktor Wołkow are undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and timeless visiting cards of Podlasie region.
The exhibition was created in 2010 within the Białystok City Days, with the co-financing from the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Białystok.
