The film opens with the burial scene of an elderly woman. Among the mourners, we quickly recognize her upset husband Vasil. The irritation of the moody man intensifies when the son, despite his pleas, does not want to take pictures of the coffin with the body of the deceased. This is the first of many disputes between the heroes.

After his mother’s funeral, Pavel would most likely return to his daily duties and to his pregnant wife. Especially since he doesn’t feel very comfortable around his father. However, the father has completely different plans, related to the belief that the deceased woman is trying to contact him from beyond the grave. A visit to a well-known local medium is to help in solving the mystery. Like it or not, Pavel becomes entangled in an intrigue planned by his father, which will allow them to reevaluate their tense relationship.

The directing duo of Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov for a moment transfers the accents from the social context, which was crucial in their previous films, to the dynamic relations that form between the characters. They talk about the fragility, or perhaps the strength of family ties, the individual approach to mourning, and about finally the absurdities that await father and son. Intimate, warm cinema.
