Maria Dek’s works are very closely related and set in the world of nature, which is the artist’s greatest inspiration. In her visual stories you will meet colorful birds, tiny beetles, timid deer and many other animals. The animal hero is an inseparable element of her work. The world of illustrations invites viewers to embark on adventures big and small.
The works presented at the exhibition come from books published by Maria Dek in recent years. Several of them were created as poster illustrations.
Author and illustrator of books, graduate of the University of the Arts London and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her books are published all over the world, in France, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, South Korea and China among others. She lives and works in the Białowieża Forest. She loves to conduct workshops for children. She is also the mom of Julek.
