The life of Jacques (Romain Duris), an inhabitant of a small French village, is turning out in far from the best way possible. He is fired from his job, he has no money or girlfriend, and it seems to him that everything in life has lost its old meaning. But he unexpectedly makes the acquaintance of local mafioso Gardot (Michel Blanc), who proposes that he become a hired killer. Jacques agreed – and gets unexpectedly very involved.
