Finnish guitarist Ben Granfelt released his latest, critically acclaimed album, “True Colours”, on A1 Records in September 2020, and as we all know there was no chance to perform live or promote gigs/albums because of Covid. 2021 will see a lot of artists back on the road and Ben, Masa Maijanen (bass) and Jari Salminen (drums) are ready, and happy as cows in the spring, to get back out as well!
Ben’s history in the music business goes way back to Gringos Locos in the 80s, Guitar Slingers and Leningrad Cowboys in the 90s, followed by Wishbone Ash and Los Bastardos Finlandeses in the 00s and beyond. October 15 is the release date to his new 2LP/CD “LIVE Because We Can!” (A1 Records / Border Music) recorded in Helsinki, Finland. It was the last performance of 2019 for Ben and his band.
He is known as a melodic master of the guitar, with both great vocal and instrumental songs, as well as being a true entertainer on stage.
Kajetan Drozd is a singer and an excellent guitarist with an exceptional stage personality. He has performed at many prestigious blues festivals. He twice won the Rawa Blues festival in 2006 and 2008. He is also a laureate of the Polish Blues Challenge 2010 and a semi-finalist of the International Blues Challenge 2011 in Memphis, USA. In 2012, he again represented Poland at the International Blues Challenge 2012.
Kajetan Drozd’s music has strong blues-rock roots interwoven with genres such as funky, country, boogie and rockabilly. He is accompanied on stage by two great musicians: bass guitarist Jędrzej Łaciak and excellent drummer Justyna Mikrut. The whole thing is an unforgettable musical spectacle that will satisfy even the most demanding listeners.
